Caudete Fiesta in Spain- Historical Wars and Colourful Parades

For a traditional and authentic spanish summer festival, look no further than the Caudete fiesta in Spain. A 5 day historical celebration commemorating the Reconquista that lasted from the 8th to the 15th Century. Caudete’s parades date back to 1588 when the Christians recaptured the town from the Moors.

In honour of the patron saint who aided the Christians in battle, the Virgin Lady of Grace, Caudete’s 10,000 inhabitants turn this usually sleepy town into a world class spectacle of colour and noise.
