SNOWdonia: UK’s Winter Wonderland

SNOWdonia: UK’s Winter Wonderland

Living up to its name, Snowdonia swept us up in a blizzard on the day we arrived. Dressed only in her ripped jeans Prue was determined to have her yearly fill of “snow playtime” before darkness fell. Romping around frozen lakes and falling into the deep snow drifts was so much fun that we completely forgot about the chilly air. A decent feed and a few pints of Guinness adequately warmed us back up as we planned our weekend adventures. We had expected the weather to worsen and envisioned ourselves wandering around in high winds layered in every piece of outdoor gear we owned.

Somehow there was a magical reform overnight and we rose early the next day to baby blue skies and a village laced with frost. With snow glittering beneath a beaming sun we were in for a memorable treat and an insight into ONE of the many beautiful faces of Snowdonia.

A true highlight of any visit to the UK, Snowdonia is a fantastic location for anyone who likes  scenic drives, arduous climbs or anything in-between. Here are a few reasons to consider Snowdonia for your next holiday destination…
